Moulding Clamp Tips

Place the clamping bolt as close to the mold as to obtain the maximum mold holding pressure, and adjust the mold clamp to parallel, meaning in a straight parallel line with the platen and mold slot and not at an angle.

Mold clamps must be set parallel to the press which is critical for equal clamping of the entire mold. The proper set-up, adequate number of mold clamps, and the correct size of clamps in relation to mold size will insure safer and better mold setup and decreased production downtime.
