What is a Hopper Dryer Dust Collector?

A hopper dryer dust collector is a dust collector filter used with a hopper dryer to collect dust and avoid air pollution in the injection molding industry. The dust collector is added to the hopper dryer, so dust from plastic granules will not fly up in order to keep a clean environment of the factory.

A dust collector used in a hopper dryer includes an outer rigid mesh and an inner filter which is provided concentrically with the outer rigid mesh, the outer rigid mesh having a number of punched holes in its peripheral surface, and the inner filter having a filter element corrugated axially of the filter member.

How does a dust hopper work?

An intense circular airflow resembling a vortex pushes the dust particles against the cyclone’s wall, which slide down to the base of the hopper for collection. Cyclone systems can remove heavier and oversized particles mixed in with fine dust.
